My son was 1 day old when I realised I had a prolapse. It took me another 2 years to get the help I needed.
.
Why?!
.
We moved house when my son was 7 days old (I know, I know..!), we home ed our kids and my husband was on a hectic (to say the least) schedule with his anaesthetist training.
.
Getting through each day was what was happening.
.
And to be honest I didn't know what to do with my prolapse other than pelvic floor exercises - which weren't helping. So I popped my head in the sand and waited for them to help.
.
But they didn't help..
.
Looking back I would have loved to have had someone scoop me up in those early days - but there were some obstacles for me to overcome to prioritise my health.
.
Fast forward 2.5 years from his birth and my life - both physically and mentally - was in a completely different place. Prolapse is wrapped up in physical and emotional complexities which you only really understand if you've been there. Looking back I only wish I had taken the plunge and got the help I needed sooner.
.
For me, the uphill struggle started to ease when I asked for help, decided that my prolapse wasn't going to rule my life and that there HAD to be more than pelvic floor exercises or surgery.
.
Are you tired of your own uphill struggle?
.
Asking for help could be the launch pad you're looking for.
.
And if you're not used to putting your needs first - you're about to see what magical things it does to you and those around you.
